NSS Boss Inspects Delivery Of Day-Old Chicks

Mustapha Ussif

The Ag. Executive Director of National Service Scheme (NSS), Hon Mustapha Ussif, last Thursday paid a working visit to Nungua and Papao farms of the scheme, where he inspected the delivery of over 15,000 day-old chicks and guinea fowls.

The consignment, made up of broilers and layers, were inspected by Hon Mustapha Ussif and the Ag. Deputy Director in-charge of Finance and Administration, Dr Gifty Oware-Aboagye, the Greater Accra Regional Director, Madam Anas Zanoo, and some staff from the secretariat.

Hon Ussif told the workers that his office was aware of the challenges faced under his predecessors and pledged his willingness to ensure the needed support is given to the agricultural sector to enable them to do more to support the president’s ‘planting for food and jobs’ policy.

On his part, Dr Oware-Aboagye encouraged the workers to continue to be disciplined and dedicated to their duties.

The NSS agricultural segment has a 500-acre farm at Dawhenya and 1,000 acre farm at Ejura alongside other farms across the country.
