Veteran hiplife musician Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere-Darko, popularly known in the music scene as Obrafour, will embark on his first musical tour of the United States of America (USA) to entertain his fans and promote his works.
Dubbed ‘My Homeland Concert’, the tour which is expected to attract a large number of Ghanaians and other African nationals in USA, would be historic, and Obrafour is sure to surprise his fans with some of his best tunes.
The tour, which is also aimed at connecting more with the fan base of Obrafuor, will also promote Ghanaian highlife music on the world music market.
It will kick off on March 3, 2023 with live musical performance in New York at Palladium Times Square 1515 Broadway, New York, NY 10036.
The tour will take the veteran hiplife artiste and other acts billed for the tour to a number of cities including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami and a host of others.
This tour is expected to be sold out at each venue as the hiplife artiste has never known low crowds at any of his events throughout his musical career.
Obrafuor is expected to treat patrons during the tour to refreshing live musical performances.
Some of the songs he will perform during the tour include ‘Heavy’, ‘Oye Ohene’, ‘Yaanom’, ‘Kwame Nkrumah’, ‘Odo’, ‘Kasiebo’, ‘Asem Sebe’, ‘Okukuseku’, ‘Agoro Na Aso’, ‘Twe Wo Ho’, ‘Konkonsa’, ‘Mensesa Da’ among others.
The tour, according to the organisers, is a unique platform to celebrate Ghanaian music and culture on the USA music platform.
The objective of the tour, they added, is to promote and market Ghanaian music in the USA and bring key stakeholders together to support the cause of Ghanaian music.
