The Member of Parliament (MP) for Okaikoi South Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Ahmed Arthur, has outdoored three road construction machines.

He personally manufactured the three machines.

The machines include a Bitumen Sprayer, and two compactors.

They are to help address the bad road situation within the Constituency.

Addressing cheerful constituents at the outdooring ceremony on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at the Atico Station, in Accra, the MP said he had the compelling need to manufacture the machines to solve the road problem in the constituency.

According to him, since he became an MP one of the problems he has realized is the road challenge in the area.

On a daily level when driving through the constituency, he revealed that residents engage him about their roads.

Being a servant and listening leader as he is, he said, he felt the need to respond to their plight.

He vowed to use his personal resources including finances to better the lives of his constituents, noting that he used his own funds in manufacturing the machines.

Some potholes on a road in the area were patched during the ceremony.

The MP spearheaded the patching of the roads with support from residents.

He however expressed gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for fixing some of the roads in the Constituency.

Notable among the roads fixed by the President, he said, were the Industrial area enclave, cocoa clinic area, Kaneshie enclave roads.

The Okaikoi SouthNews Constituency Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Moses Frimpong Manso, and the Commander of the Kaneshie Divisional Police Command, praised the MP for the machines.

They expressed the belief that the machines would help control the traffic situation in the Constituency caused partly by bad roads.
