Organisers of the People’s Choice Awards have announced that the awards ceremony will take place at the Achimota Mall in Accra on Wednesday, December 26 instead of the Junction Mall.
The event is expected to attract a lot of celebrities, radio presenters and a section of Okay FM listeners.
The People’s Choice Awards is aimed at recognising and celebrating characters with a strong people’s appeal.
The awards scheme is an initiative by the production team of Okay FM’s Ekwanso Dwoodwo led by ace broadcaster and host of the programme, Abeiku Aggrey Santana, also known as Mr. Tourism.
A few names of some personalities have been shortlisted for listeners of Okay FM to vote for their favourite character to pick the 2018 People’s Choice Award.
The personalities are Shatta Wale, Afia Schwarzenegger, Prophet Kumchacha, Counsellor George Lutterodt and Lawyer Maurice Ampaw.
The rest are Patapaa, Countryman Songo, Daniel ‘Angel’ Obinim, Rev. Obofour and Rosemond Brown aka Akuapem Polo.
All 10 personalities listed above will be present to interact with listeners and shoppers.
