Some golfers on the course before tee-off
Stephen Onavi struck a brilliant 64 net score to lift his Achimota Golf Club January Monthly Medal in the Mug members only category at the club on Saturday.
Isaac Kuttey, 69 net, finished second after beating Mike Hurtubse on count back.
It was Gifty Achana, who topped in the ladies category after recording a 65 net score, beating Julie Tuakli by four strokes.
And for their brilliant display, they took home special mugs as prizes.
A 69 net handed Mr. Kuttey the ultimate prize in the men’s Category-A event; while Emmanuel Nana placed second with a 72 net score.
Mr. Onavi extended his dominance to the men Category-B with 64 net. Mr. Hurtubse finished second with 69 net.
Achana again won the ladies open category with 65 net, while Ms. Tuakli followed with 69 net in the well organized competition that drew 75 participants.
Executives of AGC commended participants for stepping out to play.
