Opare Hammond’s Death: Akufo-Addo, Family Observe One week

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo yesterday joined hundreds of mourners at the Tabernacle of Great Grace Church at Adenta in Accra to observe the one-week funeral ceremony of the late Kojo Opare Hammond.

Mr. Opare Hammond died last Friday after a short illness. He was the Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC), and a former Member of Parliament for Adentan.

The renowned politician was also a former Director of Finance and Administration of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He was 58 years.

The memorial service was attended also by the Chief of Staff, Madam Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, senior government officials at the presidency, ministers of state, members of Parliament, national, regional and constituency executives of the NPP, party stalwarts, as well as sympathizers from different walks of life.

Mr. Opare Hammond left behind his wife and five children.
