Merquery Quaye on the turntable
Merqury Republic, organizer of the annual Ghana DJ Awards, has announced it has moved the awards to the Accra International Conference Centre from the National Theatre.
The move, according to the organizer of Africa’s biggest DJ festival, is to give revelers a greater experience.
“We’ve moved the event from the originally announced venue – the National Theatre, because we want to give the patrons a better party experience” the CEO of Merqury Republic, Merqury Quaye, said in a press statement to NEWS-ONE.
This year’s DJ awards ceremony would take place on November 2. It has a number of established disc jockeys taking part. Among them are DJ Vyrusky, DJ Mic Smith, DJ Sly, DJ Black, DJ Switch and DJ Aroma who are keenly contesting the best DJ of the year.
The award has in the last seven years been encouraging and rewarding disc jockeys for keeping the music industry vibrant. A number of entertainers have been billed for this unforgettable night on Saturday.
Top disc jockeys including Andy Dosty, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Aroma, DJ Seihor, DJ Mpesempese, DJ Mic-Smith, DJ Switch, DJ Prytty, DJ MJ, DJ Toyor, DJ Ikon and a host of other amazing DJs will provide back-to-back mixes to keep patrons partying all night long.
Ghana’s top artistes such as Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Wendy Shay, Dope Nation, Eno, Sista Afia, Epixode and J. Derobie will also be performing at the event.
