Otto Addo Names Squad For World Cup

Otto Addo

Ghana coach Otto Addo yesterday announced his 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Hearts of Oak’s Daniel Afriyie Barnieh made the cut, while last minute injury to Jojo Wollacott saw Ibrahim Danlad  (Kotoko) making the squad for the tournament.

The two are the only home-based players in the final squad, making their clubs richer with $10,000 each day as long as they stay at the tournament.

Ghana becomes the last team in Group H to announce its squad after opponents Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea released its final list last week.

Ghana is expected to play Switzerland in their last preparatory game this Thursday in Abu Dhabi before travelling to Doha for the tournament.

The Black Stars will face Portugal on November 24, and later take on South Korea and Uruguay in the final group game on December 2.
