Otumfuo Osei Tutu II
The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Charity Foundation (OOTCF) has announced a change in its official name to the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation (OOTIIF).
The change comes with the constitution of a new board of trustees to manage the affairs of the foundation forthwith.
According to a release made available to DAILY GUIDE, the change in name forms part of activities being undertaken by the patron of the foundation, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, to restructure the foundation with the aim of enhancing social development in the Ashanti Region and in Ghana as a whole.
“The Otumfuo Education Fund, the Serwaa Ampem Foundation for Children and the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Charity Foundation have together metamorphosed and been consolidated into the Osei Tutu II Foundation with a newly constituted board of trustees and management personnel,” the statement announced.
The newly consolidated foundation, the statement added, sought to improve the quality of life of Ghanaians by enhancing access to quality education while promoting programs in information and communication technology (ICT), tourism and socioeconomic empowerment.
“The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation will continue to consolidate, structure and implement all the social impact initiatives of the Asantehene in the specific thematic areas of education, health, culture and heritage, water and sanitation and some other special projects,” the release stated.
The foundation went on to express its gratitude to its partners for helping bring progress and happiness to the lives of many Ghanaians.
“The OOTIIF, on behalf of his royal majesty, would like to say, ‘Ayeeko! Mo Mo ne adwuma!’ to all its development partners who have worked with the foundation over the years in seeing to the fulfilment of its mission.
