The Late Asamponghene, Oheneba Kwadwo Aforduor
The final autopsy report of the late Otumfuo’s Asamponghene, Oheneba Kwadwo Aforduor, will be released this week.
Checks made by DAILY GUIDE indicate that the police investigators are looking forward for the important report.
A police source said, “So far, we only have the verbal cause of death from the pathologist to help in our investigations. We are now waiting for the final cause of death in a written form from the pathologist.”
The source also explained that the final cause of death from the pathologist at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) is crucial in the investigations, as it would give the police the power to emphatically state what actually killed the chief.

Already, sources at KATH have disclosed that preliminary post-mortem appeared to show gunshot wounds were not detected on the body of the late chief.
According to them, there were visible knife wounds on the body, giving strong indication that the Asamponghene might have been stabbed to death by the assailants.
Also, the KATH sources disclosed that Oheneba Kwadwo Aforduor sustained wounds at the back of his head and on the left side of his forehead.
“The blood clot on some parts of his head also gives strong indication that he might have been hit with either a wood or metal object in his head after from the knife wounds inflicted,” the source said.
Suspect Still At Large
Meanwhile, Sadat Mohammed, aka Alhaji or Mallam, 38? the man the police had declared wanted for allegedly murdering the Asamponhene ? is still at large.
There are reports that the suspect was in the company of the Asamponhene on the day that the traditional leader was found dead in his car at Ebuom on the outskirts of Ejura on Sunday, August 18.
Surprisingly, Alhaji, who was said to be a good friend of the late chief, vanished from Kumasi a few hours after the death of the chief was announced.
According to reports, Alhaji fled with his wife, who is said to be one of the queen mothers in the Pekyi area in the Ashanti Region.
Benin & Mali
Reports also claimed that Alhaji has other contacts in Benin and Mali, but there is no official information that he has left Ghana, even though the police said he and his wife could not be found in Kumasi.
