Otumfuo Mourns Three Oyoko Royals

THE ASANTEHENE, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the entire Oyoko royal family in Asanteman are bereaved.

Three prominent royals in the Oyoko family, of which Otumfuo is a member, have separately visited their ancestors recently.

The three royals include Barimma Osei Tutu, who was the Abusuapanin (family head) of the Oyoko royal family.

Nana Ama Serwaa Bonsu, who was widely described as a generous person, who cared for the needy, is among the dead persons.

The last on the list of the dead royals is Barimma Kwaku Duah. All the three persons have since been buried at the royal mausoleum at Breman.

The final funeral rites of the three royals are expected to be held at the forecourt of the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi today (Monday).

Otumfuo, as customs demand, will sit in state for mourners from all walks of life to commiserate with him.

Top traditional leaders in Asanteman and beyond, politicians, businessmen and other people will grace the solemn event.
