Multiple international media reports have revealed that over 50 people were killed in the airstrike in Ethiopia’s Tigray region.
The airstrike was carried out on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
The Ethiopian military has reportedly stated that only combatants dressed in civilian clothes were hit in the deadly airstrike.
But international media reports insist over 50 people mostly civilians were killed.
According to reports, the Ethiopian government has not disclosed how many people were killed in the bombing of a busy market in Togoga, west of the region’s capital Mekelle.
Reports say dozens of people were injured.
