Papaye Honours Dedicated Staff

 

Over seventy staff members of Papaye Fast Foods have been rewarded for their hard work and dedicated service.

The awards ceremony, which was held at the Papaye Recreational and Events Centre at Konkonuru in the Eastern Region, commended them also for long-service, and praised overall best staff across the company’s branches in Accra.

Those honoured were staff of the company who have served for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years; each received certificates and undisclosed amounts of money.

The long-serving staff, including Chairman of Papaye, Samir Kalmoni and his wife, received double-decker fridges, television sets, certificates, citations and cash.

Speaking at the ceremony dubbed “Papaye Workers Awards Dinner”, the group CEO of Papaye Fast Food, Mr. Divine Kwadwo Asiedu stressed that it was imperative to honour those members of staff through whose efforts the company has made it as a leading brand in food service.

According to him, “acknowledging and rewarding these deserving members of staff is our humble way of assuring them and others of more motivational packages in the future,” he stated.

Mr. Asiedu hinted that plans were far advanced to open a new branch at East Legon in Accra by the close of the year.

He disclosed that the story of Papaye started over 30 years ago at Osu in Accra, adding, “Today Papaye has expanded and employs over 600 staff and having branches in Haatso, Spintex, Tema, Apenkwa, Abeka-Lapaz, Adenta-Dodowa area, West Hills Mall and Awudome, all in Accra.”

On his part, the Managing Director of Papaye, Mr. Emmanuel Woelayoh Tefe, congratulated the award winners for their contribution towards the progress of the company.
