People Attend Concerts To Find Fault – Gyakie

Songstress Gyakie has lamented what she describes as a toxic shift in how audiences consume live shows. According to her, concerts are no longer about music and enjoyment but about nitpicking artists for online ridicule.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM, Gyakie said fans now attend events with their cameras poised, ready to capture slip-ups instead of celebrating performances.

“Nobody is far from criticism, but it’s becoming too much. People even do it on purpose. Most don’t go to shows to enjoy anymore – they go to see who fell, who missed a note, or who slipped up, just so they can make ‘breaking news’ out of it,” she stressed.

The ‘Forever’ hitmaker expressed disappointment at this culture, insisting that it strips the fun out of performances and pressures artists into being “too careful with everything.”

The statement has come weeks after she said the music stage has become like a courtroom.

She urged audiences to embrace imperfection and remember that artistes, too, are human.
