Pius Hadzide Wins Asuogyaman NPP Parliamentary Primary

 

In a highly anticipated New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primary, Pius Hadzide has won the contest in the Asuogyaman constituency.

The results, which were announced yesterday, saw Hadzide securing a significant lead over his other competitors.

Out of the four candidates vying for the NPP ticket in Asuogyaman, Pius Hadzide emerged as the frontrunner with an impressive 423 votes.
He was followed by Paul Ansah with 131 votes and Michael Ansah with 113 votes.
Abrokwa garnered 95 votes, while only 4 votes were classified as spoilt.

Meanwhile, in the Ablekuma Central constituency, Collins Amoah lost to Jeffeson Sackey, Deputy Communication Director at the Jubilee House winner with 493 votes.
Jefferson Sackey had 539 votes, securing the top spot.
Ebenezer Nartey, a former MP managed to secure 441 votes, while Larry received only 11 votes.
Eight votes were rejected due to various reasons.

Moving to the Kpone Katamanso constituency, the parliamentary primary saw a strong competition between Samuel Okoe Amanquah and William Ofosu Asante.
Ultimately, Ofosu Asante emerged victorious with an impressive 709 votes, while Amanquah came in second with 454 votes. Seven votes were rejected, bringing the total number of votes to 1170.

In the Asawasi constituency, Manaf Ibrahim, a former staffer at the Office of the Vice President secured a remarkable victory with 765 votes, securing the NPP ticket. Hajia Zainab managed to garner 231 votes, putting her in second place.
Osman Yusif trailed far behind with only 9 votes. Four votes were rejected during the counting process.

These primary election results indicate a significant milestone in the NPP’s selection process, as the winners will now represent their respective constituencies in the upcoming general election.
The parliamentary primaries have provided a clear mandate for these candidates to showcase their policies and strategies to the constituents in the months leading up to the election.
