Actor, John Peasah, famed for his role as Drogba in the hit TV series, YOLO, has issued a firm public plea ‘stop inviting me to church’.
In an Instagram post, the actor — who has been battling a debilitating medical condition that affects his mobility — revealed that his inbox has been flooded with church invitations ever since he attended a Christ Embassy Airport City Youth Church service in August 2024.
At the time, reports claimed he had received instant spiritual healing during the Night Miracle Service led by Pastor Enoch Ofori Boamah.
His sister even testified to a “profound healing”. But Drogba says the narrative was wrong.
A year later, he has clarified that what he experienced was not an instant cure but progressive healing — a temporary improvement, not a miraculous recovery. Since then, he says well-meaning but overwhelming invitations from various churches have poured in, and he is exhausted by the pressure.
“In the name of God, I humbly request that you please keep me away from any further invitations,” he wrote. “My DM is getting full. This isn’t about comparing power or influence — it’s about my well-being. I’ve been through a lot and want to avoid any more controversy.”
