Police, NPP Strategize For Nov 4 Presidential Primary

 

The Police conferred with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Election Committee and representatives of flagbearer hopefuls to discuss and strategize security arrangements for the party’s upcoming Flagbearer Elections scheduled for 4th November 2023.

Discussions held on Monday October 9, 2023 during the meeting centred on the safety of the flagbearer hopefuls, supporters, and the general public as well as the security of the entire electoral process.

The Police pledged their commitment to providing adequate security, resources, and intelligence to ensure law and order during the entire period.

They assured all stakeholders that they would work closely with the election committee to ensure that the entire electoral process is conducted smoothly and without any incidents of violence.

The NPP election committee, on their part, expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Police and highlighted the importance of ensuring that the election process is free, fair and transparent.

Representatives of the various flagbearer hopefuls also highlighted the need for security measures to be put in place to protect their supporters and prevent any incidents of violence or intimidation.

The Police emphasized the need for all stakeholders to play their part in ensuring that the election is conducted peacefully, and urged all candidates and their supporters to respect the rules and regulations governing the election process.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with both the election committee and the flagbearer hopefuls expressing satisfaction with the level of commitment and support shown by the police.

They expressed hope that the upcoming Flagbearer Elections would be conducted peacefully and in a manner that would reflect positively on the NPP party.

All stakeholders agreed to continue to work together to ensure that the election process is conducted smoothly, and that the NPP emerges stronger and more united after the elections.
