The stolen ‘Pragia’ at the police station
TWO SUSPECTED tricycle thieves, popularly known as ‘Pragia’ in the local parlance, have been apprehended.
The suspects have been identified as Osei Frank, aged 29 and Nurudeen Shamsu, 23 years old.
Interestingly, they were arrested when they tried selling a blue coloured stolen ‘Pragia’ to an unsuspected buyer.
The police quickly arrested the duo and also impounded the stolen ‘Pragia’, with registration number M 19-AS 888.
The incident occurred at Dagomba Line a densely populated area at 5:30pm on Monday, February 5, 2024.
The Ashanti Regional Anti Armed Robbery Sitrep, which confirmed the arrest, said one other suspect is on the run.
“Suspects were subsequently arrested and upon interrogation revealed to police that they stole the tricycle today 05/02/24 at about 4:00am at Asawasi, which was parked along the roadside together with one Haruna now at large.
“Exhibit tricycle motor bike retained and suspects detained”, the police document, seen by the DAILY GUIDE disclosed.
