Pregnant Woman’s Killer Grabbed

Maxwell Boadi, the suspect

THE ASHANTI Regional Police have arrested Maxwell Boadi, 44, for allegedly stabbing his wife, Priscilla Owusu aka ‘Betty’, to death.

The suspect, who allegedly committed the crime at Nyankyerenease near Kumasi on Saturday, was apprehended at Kodie, in the Afigya Kwabre South District on Tuesday.

Maxwell, according to eyewitnesses, had committed the crime because he suspected his wife, 31, of infidelity and absconded after killing her.

The suspect, allegedly stabbed Betty multiple times, right in the presence of their six-year-old daughter, in their rented room at Nyankyerenease.

The Ashanti Regional Police PRO, ASP Godwin Ahianyo, addressing the media on Tuesday, said Maxwell managed to elude arrest for three days after the crime.

According to him, the Kodie District Police had to work assiduously before they could locate and eventually arrest Maxwell from his hideout at Kodie on Tuesday morning.
