Prince Obeng

An aspirant for the position of Greater Accra Regional Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Prince Obeng, has expressed his desire to build a party with the capacity to bid and execute contracts.

The outgoing Greater Accra Regional Youth Organiser, who has made a mark for himself in the party, is targeting the grassroots who he claimed play an invaluable role in the activities of the party.

His main aim for vying for the position, according to Mr Obeng, is to pursue vigorous training and workshop programmes to properly equip officers for party work.

He is also aiming at helping NPP constituency officers to foster cordial relationship with all election stakeholders such as the police, Electoral Commission and opinion leaders.

Mr. Obeng has a tall list of achievements, making him better placed for the position.

He was very instrumental in ensuring that three young aspirants won their parliamentary seats for the first time in the last elections.

The former University of Ghana graduate also strategized and coordinated the security, intelligence and operations team for Dr. Amoaku Tuffuor in 2016.

He lobbied celebrities such as Wisa Greid, Cwesi Oteng and Sammi Tuga to join the NPP campaign in 2016 and managed to win over Sammi Tugah who did the ‘Edey bee k3k3’ advert for the opposition NDC prior to the 2012 elections.

He also organised the first ever NPP awards for party officers and sympatisers in the Greater Accra Region as well as a youth rally.

My. Obeng is the proud founder of Patron of NPP Middle East branch as well as Becky’s Babes for the 2016 elections.

Notably, he also formed POWER FORCES – the Greater Accra Regional security team in-charge of intelligence and protection of ballots during the 2016 elections.

He has a very enviable profile in the NPP tradition beginning all the way from his school days as a TESCON member.

Prince was the campaign coordinator for Ursula Owusu-Ekuful in the 2012 election as well as former personal assistant to Kojo Smith.
