Rapper Asks Why God Didn’t Replace Shatta With Bonchaka

Kojo Weaporn

Rapper Kojo Weaporn has hit some controversial notes in his new freestyle song, asking God to take the lives of Ghanaian showbiz personalities like Shatta Wale, Akuapem Polo, Afia Schwarzenegger and others he tagged as “unwanted”.

The Takoradi-based rapper’s new song is a cover of Joyner Lucas’ Devil’s Work’, and it talks about why innocent and good people are dying instead of the evil ones.

He questioned God for letting the wrong people die while He could take the “unwanted” ones away.

He mentioned the names of late showbiz personalities like Terry Bonchaka, Suzzie Williams, Castro, Kofi B and Kwame Owusu-Ansah as some of great and fine talents who didn’t deserve to die.

Introducing the song with the line “no hard feelings, this is creativity”, he prayed to God to bring back those dead celebrities.

He, therefore, prayed that God should replaceCastro with Patapaa, Ebony with Fantana, Terry Bonchaka with Shatta Wale and Suzzie Williams with Akuapem Poloo and Afia Schwarzenegger.

The song received a lot of attention on social media Tuesday, putting it in the trends on Twitter days after it was released.

Some follower applauded his dexterity on the song. Meanwhile, followers of the artistes who he wished should be taken by God registered their displeasure with the song.

Those who sat on the fence also warned him to expect a reply from Shatta Wale.

To many music followers, Kojo Weaporn is a new artiste who is only seeking attention. However, indications are that he is not new to the industry. He has been around for some time and has a song titled ‘Ekebe’ featuring Flowking Stone.
