Reject NDC, They Won’t Help You – Bawumia Raps Krobos

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President is calling on the Krobos who are found of always voting for the opposition National Democratic Congress to change their voting line come 7th December and vote for the ruling New Patriotic Party.

According to him, the NDC is always taken their strongholds for granted and failing to develop these areas by providing the necessary development to them.

He expressed that he has toured all the NDC strongholds across the country and can’t see any development in their strongholds.

Dr Bawumia made this known when addressing the Krobos at Kpong and Somanya separately in the Yilo Krobo and Manya Krobo Constituencies in the Eastern Region which are the strongholds of the NDC as part of his three days tour.

Dr Bawumia said the Yilo Krobo and Lower Manya Krobo have been strongholds of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the parliamentary seats had never been occupied by the NPP.

He appealed to them to vote for the NPP Parliamentary candidates this time around since the NDC 28 years parliamentary dominance in the area could not be compared to the NPP’s four years in the area and also would derail the development programmes of the country especially the constituencies.

That, he said would enable the party to continue with its numerous development and social intervention programmes to improve the living conditions of the constituencies.

Dr Bawumia recounted how bad the NDC administration had managed the social intervention initiative such as National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), school feeding programme, capitation grant Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) and metro mass transit among others after former President Kufuor left office in 2008.

“Change your way of voting because it has not helped the people not to talk of improving the living conditions of the people in the area”, the Vice-President stated.

Former Minister of Energy Boakye Agyarko, a native of the Krobo area, also expressed his worried about one way of voting in favour of NDC in the area for decades and appealed to them to change this time around.
