Jean Mensa – Chairperson of EC
The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the temporal suspension of the replacement of lost voters’ Identification cards at its District Offices nationwide.
The suspension takes effect from Friday, June 7, 2019 to Thursday, June 27, 2019.
In a statement signed by its Chairperson, Jean Mensa, the EC indicated that the suspension was to allow it “focus on the impending Limited Voters’ Registration Exercise.”
It announced that the replacement of lost ID cards will continue after the 27th of June, 2019.
