ING NANA Poku Agyeman, the Kumasi Metro Roads Director hopes of becoming the next Kumasi Mayor, has been given a massive boost.
Several people including the Minister of Works and Housing, Francis Asenso-Boakye, has spoken positively about his efficiency and work ethics.
A number of people have therefore appealed to the government to, in the interest of Kumasi’s development, appoint the Urban Roads chief for the top position.
The people factored in Ing Poku Agyeman’s impressive record at the Kumasi Urban Roads Department and declared their support for him.
Asenso-Boakye, who is also the Bantama MP, spoke positively about Ing Nana Poku Agyeman in the presence of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II recently.
The minister, who was in Kumasi to inspect the poor drainage system in the city, lauded Ing Poku Agyeman for his hard work, commitment and patriotism.
According to him, the Urban Roads head has the passion for the development of Kumasi.
“Your Majesty, your grandnephew, Ing Nana Poku Agyeman, is very capable of transforming Kumasi if he is appointed to manage the city one day,” he declared, and said as MP he will support him to supervise effectively, the development of the garden city when given the nod.
Meanwhile, Ing Poku Agyeman is said to be leading the race of people that have been shortlisted by government to become the next Kumasi Mayor.
Aside being a workaholic and a disciplinarian, Ing Poku Agyeman is widely regarded as a team player and a game-changer, who always seeks for positive results.
