Rocky Dawuni
Tonight, Ghana’s international reggae star, Rocky Dawuni, will host a musical concert at the +233 Jazz Bar & Grill located on the Ring Road Central, opposite Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) in Accra to entertain his fans.
The live musical concert is being organised to celebrate Rocky Dawuni’s achievements on the international music scene and to officially launch his seventh studio album titled ‘Beats of Zion’.
The versatile singer, songwriter and producer, who returned from the States a couple of weeks ago to promote his latest album, will be performing alongside a special guest artiste.
A number of prominent local reggae artistes have been invited to perform alongside Rock y Dawuni at the event.
The reggae super star has promised to produce his best on the night and will perform all his favourite songs on both old and current albums to entertain his fans. He will be performing with his own band.
The event is expected to bring together reggae music lovers, particularly Rocky Dawuni fans all over the metropolis, to celebrate his music and achievement on the world music scene.
The album featured the likes of Stonebwoy, Sarkodie and Wiyaala, as well as Argentinian dancehall queen Alika.
It was recorded within a period of two years in various studios in Ghana, Nairobi and Los Angeles (LA) California.
The album was released on March 8, 2019, on digital platforms worldwide and also available on Ghanaian local music stores, Aftown and Play Africa.
Over the last few years, Rocky’s music and stage performances on international platforms have attracted thousands to his concerts.
Tickets are going for only GH¢ 60 and gate opens at 7:00pm. Tickets will be on sale at the gate.
The night promises an invigorating performance from all the artistes billed to perform on the night.
