Royal Motors Robbers Nabbed At Oda

TWO SUSPECTED robbers – Dormenyo Alfred and Felix Andy – believed to be connected to the Royal Motors daylight robbery in Accra recently, have been arrested by the police in the Eastern Region after exchanges of gunshots at Akyem-Oda.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Regional Police Command, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh, confirmed to DAILY GUIDE that the suspected armed robbers were arrested at a spot between Akim Asanteman and Akim Aprokumase, near Akim Asuboa.

According to him, the suspects were on board a Toyota Highlander vehicle registered GR 8001-18, from Asamankese to Akim Oda.

ASP Ebenezer Tetteh said, “The suspects engaged the police in a shootout, in which one of them, Alfred Dormenyo, was hit in the right thigh. He was sent to the Oda Government Hospital and was admitted for treatment and was later discharged.”

Narrating further, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh claimed that Felix Andy is in custody at the Oda police station, adding that their vehicle had been impounded.

He indicated, “One flat screen TV set and other personal effects were retrieved from them.”

They had been handed over to the Accra Regional Police Command at the time of filing this report.
