Royal Savannahfest Holds In Tamale, Bolga

A maiden Royal Savannahfest and Investment Expo 2026 has been announced.

Intended to open the potentials of the five Northern regions to investors and ensure accelerated development of these parts of the country, the three-day programme will hold between December 8 to 10, 2026.

The programme is being held under the aegis of the Royal Savannah Forum in collaboration with an assortment of relevant bodies among them the Northern Development Authority (NDA), UNESCO, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), the Black Star Experience, the Diaspora Affairs Office of the Office of the President, and Red Clay Studio among others.

As a non-partisan organisation, the Royal Savannah Forum looks forward to leveraging on the strategic location of the Northern regions as gateway to the Savannah and Sahel towards the development of these parts of the country.

One of the features of the programme is the Nandom Demonstration Model whose inaugural implementation will demonstrate how traditional authority can convene communities, government, investors, development partners and the African Diaspora to measurable local economic transformation.

The project is segmented into the Royal Savannahfest 2026, the Savannah Prosperity Framework, the Nandom Demonstration Model, the Kakube Festival, the Royal Visit to the Diaspora, which is a Ghana @70 initiative intended to advance heritage diplomacy, investment and global partnerships. All parts of the Northern regions will be covered in the projects, uniting these parts of the country being one of the objectives.

The theme says it all about the dream of the founders: “Reclaiming The North: Elevating Heritage, Unlocking Potential, Advancing Prosperity.”

Organisers say it is not an event but a strategic platform for bringing together traditional leadership, government, investors and development partners among others.

Day one will take place at the Tamale Jubilee Park and will entail a grand fugu cultural durbar and exhibition among other features.

On the second day, there will be a launch of the creative economy and entrepreneurial showcase, the venue being the Modern City Hotel, Tamale, while day three takes place in both Tamale and the Upper East Regional capital, Bolgatanga. This will deal with heritage and tourism experience, according to the organisers.
