Samira Bawumia Breaks Down At Final Prayers For Departed Bodyguard

 

In a heartrending moment, Second Lady Samira Bawumia was seen shedding tears during the final prayers (Adua) held for her late bodyguard, Fuseini Mumuni.

Tragically, Mumuni lost his life a few days ago in an accident on the Accra-Kumasi Highway.

On Sunday, an Islamic funeral was conducted in honour of the late Fuseni Mumuni, who had faithfully served as a security protocol officer of the Second Lady Hajia Samira Bawumia.

The funeral, held at the Kanda National Mosque, was attended by esteemed individuals, including the second couple and prominent government officials such as the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei Opare.

The ceremony was filled with deep sorrow as family, friends, and colleagues came together to bid their final farewell.

Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, said it was a chance for friends, family, and colleagues to pay their respects and offer condolences.

During the ceremony, Second Lady Bawumia, with the assistance of Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, made an emotional announcement.

She pledged to take care of the education expenses of Mumuni’s children until they complete their tertiary education. This gesture of support touched the hearts of all those in attendance and was a highlight of the funeral.

Among the dignitaries present were former Chairman of the NPP, Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, CEO of the National Petroleum Authority, Dr. Mustapha Abdul Hamid, Chairman of the Ghana Hajj Board, Alhaji Ben Abdallah Banda, and Chief of the Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu, among others.

Amidst the somber atmosphere, the Second Lady could not contain her grief, as tears flowed down her cheeks freely during the emotional prayers.
