Savanna Region Records First Covid-19 Case

The Savannah Region has recorded its first Covid-19 case.

This brings the number of Covid-19 affected regions to 14.

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) show that 66 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded pushing the case count to 6,683.

The new cases came from the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Central, Western, Volta, Northern and Savannah Regions.

The Ashanti region recorded 39 new cases while the Greater Accra contributed 18 cases.

The Central, Northern, Western and Volta Regions all recorded two new cases each.

Twenty more recoveries have also been recorded in the country taking the number of recoveries to 1,998.

The death toll has also increased by one to reach 34.
