The Savannah Regional Women’s Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hajia Safia Mohammed has distributed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to rural communities and some selected health facilities to help curb the spread of the Coronavirus in the region.
Some of the items distributed are hand sanitizers, gloves, liquid soaps, cake soaps , tissues and other materials.
She commended the people of the Savannah Region for their continuous adherence and practice of the preventive measures given by the Ghana health service through the ministry of health which has proven to be yielding positive results.
The NPP Women’s organizer , appealed to Members of Parliament in the region to come to the aid of their constituents as there is no better time to do so than now.
Chiefs and elders of the beneficiary communities thanked Hajia Safia Mohammed for the kind gesture and promised to use the items for the intended purpose.
The management and staff of the beneficiary health facilities also showed their gratitude and appealed to other opinion leaders in society to come
to their aid.
The Savannah Region is part of the regions that has not recorded any Coronavirus case.
