SDA Offers Medical Training

Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church, in collaboration with UZIMA Lifestyle Center, USA, has organised a medical missionary training for the people of Asuyie in the Techiman North District of the Brong-Ahafo Region. 

The programme, which was under the theme: ‘arresting and preventing premature mortalities and mortal abilities to promote quality health outcomes in Ghana’, attracted several participants.

Speaking at the training, Dr. Kwame Kwainin Boakye, who is also the president of Northern Ghana Union Mission of SDA Church, thanked Prof. Jaunice Maclean, the CEO of UZIMA Lifestyle Center, USA, for the initiative. 

He admonished the participants to take the training seriously so that they could also train others.

Dr. Boakye added that the church would continue to support any programme that would enhance the health of the people.

He thanked the Deputy Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister, Martin Oti Gyarko, for supporting the programme and further appealed to the minister to continue with his good works. 

A medical doctor from Breman SDA Hospital in Kumasi, Dr. Anthony Eric Eshun, called on the general public to cultivate the habit of exercising every day and eat healthy diets so that certain diseases can be prevented.
