Seattle Seahawks Beat Patriots To Lift NFL LX

Seattle Seahawks celebrating their win

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 to win Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara.

Running back Kenneth Walker III was named the MVP after rushing for 135 yards on 27 carries, on a night the Seahawks’ defense forced three turnovers and scored a touchdown on an interception return by Uchenna Nwosu in the fourth quarter.

Seahawks kicker Jason Myers set a Super Bowl record with five made field goals as Seattle claimed its second championship, denying New England its seventh.

The Patriots played in their NFL-record 12th Super Bowl last on Sunday, aiming for a seventh Lombardi Trophy that would break their tie with the Steelers for the team with the most Super Bowl titles.

Instead, New England set a different kind of record — their six losses in the Super Bowl are now the most by a team in the game’s history.

The Patriots are now 6-6 in Super Bowls all-time, and as I wrote last night, now 0-3 in the game without Bill Belichick and Tom Brady as their head coach and quarterback, respectively.
