A scene from the event. INSET: Selina Boateng
Selina Boateng staged a brilliant live musical performance last Saturday at the maiden edition of a gospel event dubbed ‘Accra Worship Concert’, which was organised by the Class Media Group (CMG) at the Assemblies of God auditorium, Abeka Lapaz in Accra.
In a packed auditorium at the Assemblies of God, patrons of the Accra Worship Concert were spotted singing and dancing as the various artistes took to the stage, one after the other.
A large number of music fans who attended the event yielded in admiration to Selina Boateng, Francis Amo and Tagoe Sisters’ performances, pouring out their hearts in adoration.
The energetic Selina Boateng began with some worship songs, increased the tempo of her songs and finally exploded with her popular hit songs.
The event also witnessed performances from other renowned gospel stars such as Rose Adjei, Nhyiraba Betty, Ernest Opoku, the legendary Yaw Sarpong and some selected upcoming artistes such as Mabel Lamptey and Minister Emmanuel.
Their stage performances also got music fans, stakeholders, personalities from the business community, among others, dancing and singing.
Speaking to BEATWAVES shortly after the event, one of the production directors of CMG, Nii Lantei Lamptey, stated the event which attracted over thousand music fans will be annually to entertain gospel music fans and promote the teaching of Christ.
Commenting further, he explained that the event was to thank God for his abundant blessings, as CMG is preparing to make a transition from one level to the other.
He also thanked all the partners and proud sponsors of Accra Worship 2018, which has come to stay on Ghana’s gospel events calendar.
