Serena Williams, Daughter On ‘King Richard’ Red Carpet

Serena Williams has once again proved that her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr, is her mini-me.

The 40-year-old tennis star attended the premiere of King Richard at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles. Willams was joined by her husband, Alexis Ohanian, and their 4-year-old daughter Olympia.

Williams and her daughter opted for matching ensembles. For the occasion, the pair donned black bodysuits by London-based designer David Koma. The pieces featured high necklines and bedazzled bodices. The mother-daughter duo also sported one matching bedazzled boot.

Williams accessorized her ensemble with gloves, a silver watch and earrings, while Olympia rocked a sparkling silver necklace and hair accessories.
To match his girls, Ohanian looked chic in a black suit and white button-up.

The entire family came to support, considering King Richard is based on Serena and Venus Williams’s father, Richard Williams.

The story follows Richard (played by Will Smith) as he raises two of the most extraordinarily gifted athletes of all time despite having no tennis background himself.
While Serena and her sister do not star in the film, the duo is credited as executive producers.

King Richard will be released in theaters on November 19, as well as on HBO Max for 31 days following the premiere.

Serena Williams said she wore a David Koma design after seeing it on the runway.

“I saw this look on the runway and I was like, this is what I need to wear for the premiere,” she said.

Williams said she cried watching the film, telling Yahoo! that “it’s a really great story about my dad.”

“You understand how we became who we are and what we do and how much love we have with it for a passion,” she said. “Seeing so many characters in the film, you know, it’s really emotional. The movie is just really really amazing.”
