David Asante Apeatu, IGP
The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has again reassigned some of its senior personnel to strategic positions nationwide.
In all, 18 officers were reassigned, according to a statement signed by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante Apeatu, in Accra.
Notable among them is COP Ken Yeboah, Asante Regional Commander, who now becomes Director General in-charge of Technical Services.
He has been replaced by DCOP Kwesi Mensah Duku, who was the Western Regional Commander.
The others are DCOP Vincent Redeemer Dedjoe, Commander, Upper East Region, who heads to the Western Region as Commander.
DCOP Patrick Adusei Sarpong, Northern Regional Commander, is moving to headquarters in Accra as Director General in-charge of Legal Affairs. He replaces DCOP Edward Tabiri, now heading to Private Security Operations as Director General at the headquarters.
DCOP Timothy Yoosa Bonga, Director in-charge of PIPS, national headquarters, is going to the Northern Region as Commander, to be replaced by DCOP Emmanuel Ashong Bossoh Jnr, Deputy Brong-Ahafo Regional Commander.
DCOP Edward Oduro Kwateng, Deputy Upper West Regional Commander, is moving to the Brong-Ahafo Region as Deputy Regional Commander.
DCOP Osei Kweku Ampofo Duku, national headquarters, is for the Upper East Region.
Chief Superintendent Felix Apedo, Nsawam District in the Eastern Region, is heading for the Atebubu District in the Brong-Ahafo Region, and is replaced by Superintendent Marian Osei Adu, Kibi District Commander in the Eastern Region.
Chief Superintendent Ali Damashie, Alpha SWAT, Accra Region, is moving to Kasoa in the Central Region as District Commander and takes over from Superintendent Stephen Ahiatafu, heading for the Anyiman District as Commander.
Chief Superintendent Leonard Kwesi Abakah, Airport District Commander, goes to Assin Fosu as District Commander and has been replaced by Superintendent Eric Asiedu Asamoah, the Anyinam District Commander.
Superintendent Reinford Magnus Sam, Assin Fosu District Commander, is now for the Kibi District, while ASP Kofi Sarkodie Addo, Crime Officer of Nsawam District, exchanges office with ASP Sam Frimpong Manso Pipim, Oyibi Crime Officer in the Greater Accra Region.
