GHANAIAN DANCEHALL artiste, Shatta Wale, has taken over the Apple Music Ghana Top 200 songs chart as all his songs listed on the ‘African King’ album made it to the chart.
The songs include God of the Universe, taking the 23 position; End of Discussion, 31; Badman Fi Real, 46; Flash Lights, 61; You Bad, 73; Rolls Royce To PJ, 86; No Bbf, 95; African King, 98; Summertime, 100; Body Pains, 103; Mountain Afajato, 107; No Day Off, 108; and Run This, 110.
The rest include King Energy, 115; Anfa, 119; Allah, 123; Keep Tings To Myself, 132; On Sight, 133; F3fl3, 143; Count of Monte Kristos, 156; and African King Freestyle, 162.
Shatta Wale, ahead of the release of the highly anticipated project, ‘African King’, called it his most ambitious and global body of work yet. Shatta says it will solidify his status as the self-proclaimed “King of Africa Dancehall”. The announcement came just a day after he secured three major wins at the 42nd International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA).
According to Shatta, the album is “full of global songs” and fans “will love this album”. The 21-track project features striking artwork with Shatta’s face emerging from a white, milk-like splash with a crown motif and carries a Parental Advisory label for explicit content.
