Shatta Wale on stage with his ‘militants’
Shatta Wale and Tamale-based musician Sherif Abdul-Majeed, known in showbiz as Maccasio, over the weekend put up amazing performances to thrill music fans in Tamale.
This was part of Shatta Wale’s ‘Reign Concert’ in the Northern Region, held on Saturday night.
The 20,000-capacity Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium where the concert took place was filled with a lot of music fans, majority of whom sang along the performances.
Both artistes performed their hit songs to the excitement of the audiences.
Before he the left stage, Shatta Wale promised the fans he would return for yet another show because of the massive love the fans have shown him.
He described Tamale as his second home, indicating that he has the biggest fan base in Tamale aside Kumasi.
He used the platform to announce that he would be buying a land in Tamale to build a hotel, which would include a music studio.
According to the ‘My Level’ hitmaker, aside music, he is also into real estate and some projects have already started in Accra and Kumasi. Tamale is yet to be added.
Prior the concert, Shatta Wale was enskinned as ‘ Dancehall Naa’ by the chief of Tamale, Naa Dakpema, in a ceremony at his palace.
He thanked Naa Dakpema for his chieftaincy title and assured he would use the title to promote and nurture young artistes in the region.
Responding to questions to about his recent peace agreement with Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale revealed that their joint press conference on peace was not for the ‘hype’ and urged Ghanaians to support them take Ghanaian music to the next level.
He congratulated the Shatta Movement fans who came out in their numbers from the airport to the Tamale chief’s palace to support him and appealed to them to live in peace and harmony.
