Sonia being crowned
Bridgett Sonia Owusu has been crowned the overall winner of season two of the reality television series ‘RabbyStarlet’.
RabbyStarlet is a reality TV series that camped eight ladies at a luxurious mansion in Accra to exhibit their talents.
It ran for 13 weeks, and had contestants evicted at a point.
Contestants who took part in the grand finale were Precious Zormelo, Cilla Royal, and Bridgett Sonia Owusu.
Earlier, they took part in individual social projects as part of the requirements of the reality series. These included ‘Women Empowerment Tour’, ‘Self Acceptance Tour’, and a ‘Teenage Pregnancy Tour’.
The grand finale came off on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the premises of the Silverbird Cinemas at the Accra Mall,
After everything, 24-year-old Sonia walked away as the ultimate winner. She took home GH¢10,000, a car, and other ambassadorial packages.
The creator of RabbyStarlet, actress Rabby Bray, said the main purpose of the competition was to empower upcoming female talents in the film industry to be role models to their peers by being financially independent and self-motivated.
According to her, the ‘RabbyStarlet’ reality television series is timely, especially because it has a lot of opportunities to offer to young people.
“Our main aim is to inspire and also empower the next generation of young talented women who will echo that indeed women can excel and become icons and role models in the society without succumbing to stereotype roles,” she explained.
