THE ST. Andrews Group of Schools in the Central Region was recently adjudged the best quality education providers for 2021 at the 12th edition of the Ghana Entrepreneur and Corporate Executive Awards.

Prof. Richard Asiedu, CEO of St. Andrews Group of Schools and Companies, speaking in an interview with journalists after receiving the award in Accra, expressed appreciation to the organisers for recognising the quality services being rendered by the group.

According to him, the aim of establishing the St. Andrews Schools, among other things, was to harness the potential of students irrespective of their backgrounds.

He stated, “Our priority as a school is to nurture students to be able to acquire PhDs, master’s degrees and first degrees. These, we believe can be achieved with ease once we provide our students with the best foundation at the basic level.”

According to him, management of the schools have initiated steps to ensure that the students are equipped with the needed resources to be able to achieve their goals, adding  that  such recognition would  encourage management and staff of the schools to not compromise on the standard of  teaching but to work hard towards achieving the school’s vision.

He stressed, “It is hard work that has brought us this far, and I must thank the staff, for instance, in the year 2020, most of our students obtained 8 A’s in the WASSCE, making us the best in the private school category and amongst the best in the country.”

Prof. Asiedu was adjudged the Outstanding Educational Services Entrepreneur of the Decade.

Other notable recipients of the awards were Togbe Afede XIV, CEO of SAS Group; Dr. Felix Anyah, Executive Chairman of the Holy Trinity Medical Centre; Alex Apau Dadey of the KGL Group; and the Director General of SSNIT, Dr. John Ofori Tenkorang, among others.
