Stonebwoy
The Burniton Music Group (BMG) has announced a virtual concert to earmark the first anniversary of Stonebwoy’s fourth studio full-length album ‘Anloga Junction’.
The album was released on April 24, 2020 and has since become one of the most streamed Ghanaian albums on various digital platforms.
The virtual event will take place this Saturday, May 22 at the Bayview Village located at the Atomic Junction in Accra.
A number of celebrated music icons who have worked closely with Stonebwoy are expected to rock the stage alongside Stonebwoy, the headline act.
Stonebwoy, whose songs and stagecraft have won the hearts of many music fans in Ghana and beyond, is also expected to do something amazing to satisfy music fans who would be at the venue.
The organisers say the concert will be a unique experience for fans, adding that Ghanaians should come and experience an extraordinary musical concert on Sunday.
The event, according to the organisers, also seeks to celebrate the COVID-19 frontline health workers for their enormous contribution to Ghana’s health sector during the heat of the pandemic.
‘Anloga album’ contains a 15-track release that features an array of collaborations with artistes such as Hilson, Harley, Kojo Antwi, Nasty C, Zlantan, Diamond Platinum, and Jahmeil.
The album after its release has received numerous nominations and awards across the African continent.
The album was voted as ‘Album of the Year’ on Reggaeville (Europe’s biggest Reggae Network). It has produced over seven music videos and holds cross-genre songs stemming from reggae, dancehall, and afrobeats.
In March 2021, the album also won 3Music Awards ‘Album of the Year’ at the fourth edition of music’s biggest night.
The album has currently amassed over 100 million streams on the major digital service providers (Apple Music, Audiomack, Spotify, YouTube, Boomplay, etc.)
Stonebwoy is unarguably the best musician of his kind in the Ghanaian music industry in the current dispensation of the most successful and booming music industry in Africa.
He has worked hard to climb the ladder of the high competitive Ghana music industry and in addition, assert his name on the music global map as one of the best Africa music giants.
