A SUSPECTED thief has been lynched at Bronkrom in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region.
The now-deceased thief was part of a gang of thieves that stormed Bronkrom last Friday for a robbery operation.
According to reports, the hoodlums have been terrorising the people of Bronkrom in recent times.
These thieves usually break into the rooms of their victims and steal their valuable items, especially mobile phones.
But last Friday evening, luck eluded the miscreants as they were exposed whilst they were conducting their operation.
An alarm was raised and the thieves, with the exception of the deceased, managed to ran away from Bronkrom.
The thief that was left behind was severely beaten by an angry mob, who hit him with stones and metal objects.
The thief, who is not known in the community, eventually gave up the ghost after hours of severe beatings.
The body has been deposited in a mortuary for preservation and autopsy. Police investigations are also underway.
