SYNLAB Launches New Head Office

SYNLAB GHANA, a leading global brand, and medical diagnostic provider has launched its new ultramodern head office at 12 Indian Ocean Street, South Legon to offer wider services to clients.

SYNLAB Ghana, which previously operated as Medlab Ghana for 25 years has provided quality medical diagnostics to the public offering over 5,000 tests which include specialized genetic tests both locally and through partner labs in Germany, Spain, Belgium, Turkey, and Italy.

Addressing the stakeholders at the Launch, the CEO, of SYNLAB Ghana, Patrick Asiamah said the relocation of the Head Office became necessary as the company began to expand, requiring a more spacious facility for its operations and more importantly to better serve valued customers.

He added that for the past 7 years since SYNLAB’s establishment in Ghana, the company has continued to focus on quality, affordability, and timely diagnosis to health partners and citizenry across their 14 branches: Accra (4), Tema (2), Kumasi (2), Takoradi (2), Koforidua, Tarkwa, Techiman, and Goaso.

“We boast of being the first medical laboratory to be accredited with ISO 15189. We offer Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT), BRCA-Plus, my PGPx (a pharmacogenetic test), myBiome (which analyses microorganisms in your guts), Paternal DNA testing, and Karyotyping among others”.

“We also offer several radiology services to help our health professionals provide better diagnosis and effective treatment,” he said.

Mr. Asiamah added that the company will uphold its core values and not lose sight of the values of Accountability, Passion, and Customer Centricity. He also promises to continuously deliver peace of mind regarding the quality and accuracy of your test results.

Mr. Thomas Degott, CEO of SYNLAG Emerging Market in his remarks stated that Synlab Ghana, formerly Medlab has been delivering quality laboratory services to Ghanaian doctors and patients, embassies, visa programs, and corporate clients. And has set the pace for excellence in medical diagnostics.

“We have about 1,000 doctors, 32,000 employees and offer over 600 million tests globally in a year in our 40 countries Our international accreditation recognises our commitment to quality, competency, and reliable results,” he said.

Director of External Health Cooperation, Ministry of Health (MOH), Dr. Hafez Adam, commended the SYNLAB board of directors for being among the largest Clinical Laboratory Services provider in Ghana.

He said they offer the highest degree of personalised laboratory diagnostic services and set ground-breaking quality standards which makes a vital contribution to public health protection.

“SYNLAB is a medical stakeholder in Ghana’s health service system. If all laboratory service providers will work like SYNLAB it will add up to the quality health services the ministry offer here in Ghana “ he noted.
