Tafo Goes ‘Dr Go, Dr Come’

Dr. Serwaa Donkor addressing NPP supporters after submitting her forms

DR. SERWAA Donkor has filed her nomination to contest the upcoming Tafo/Pankrono New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primary to represent the party in the December 2020 general election.

Scores of the party’s delegates and supporters were seen chanting “Dr Go, Dr Come”, meaning they are pushing for Dr. Serwaa to replace long-standing Tafo Member of Parliament (MP), Dr. Anthony Akoto Osei, Minister for Evaluation, who is not contesting again.

Addressing NPP supporters, Dr. Serwaa, who is the first ever female SRC President of University of Ghana, Legon, promised to be a “servant leader.”

“My utmost desire is to ensure that the NPP increases its votes in Tafo/Pankrono in both the presidential and the parliamentary elections in December,” she stressed.

According to her, Ghana will experience more growth at a rapid rate if President Akufo-Addo is retained in office. She insisted that Ghanaians should not make a mistake to bring back the NDC, saying it destroyed the economy in its time with bad policies and mismanagement.

On a personal note, she said she would build MPs office, construct sports complex to help unearth sports talents and educational complex to improve education.

She also promised to improve security, sanitation, health and other key areas to better the lives of her constituents, adding “I will make Tafo/Pankrono a model constituency.”

Elder Atta Yeboah, the Elections Committee Chairman for Tafo/Pankrono NPP, admonished the contestants to avoid insults and bickering during their campaign.
