Larry Otoo, The Loom a rtist of the month

The Loom Art Gallery, reputed as Ghana’s premier privately-owned art gallery, has revived its ‘Artist of the Month’ programme ahead of its golden jubilee celebrating in December 2019.

The gallery, under the programme, would showcase the works of a particular artist each month in the gallery.

“In October, renowned artist Larry Otoo is the artist of the month. Heather Badger’s works will be shown next in November,” stated Frances Ademola, The Loom’s owner.

She said the artist for the month of August was Gabriel Eklou, followed in September by Adjei Sowah, with his portrayal of elegant women.

So far, the works of Samuel Agbenegah, Emmanuel Quartey-Papafio, Seth Clottey and Aubrey-Seth Attoh have been featured.

“This iconic art gallery has had the privilege in the past 50 years of presenting a great number of gifted Ghanaian artists to art lovers and also of discovering a few,” Mrs. Ademola highlighted.

There are many more artists scheduled to have their works exhibited as part of the grand finale of the golden jubilee of The Loom in December.

The Loom is located in Samlotte House, Kwame Nkrumah Avenue, Accra, and is next door to the East Cantonments Pharmacy.
