There Is No Competition In Accra – Kwame Adinkra

Renowned broadcaster and host of Kumasi-based Abusua 96.5FM’s morning show, Kwame Adinkra, has denied allegations that he left Atinka FM due to fear of competition on Accra radio.

In an interview with BEATWAVES, Kwame Adinkra pointed out that “I came to Accra for a purpose and my presence on Accra radio was supposed to span a year. I did not see myself in any competition with others.”

Kwame Adinkra, who assumed work with his new employers yesterday, added that he switched camp to his present work place because he has a lot of unfinished jobs to do in Kumasi.

The award-winning radio presenter underscored that his vision is to work harder with his team to improve the quality of morning show on Abusua FM so as to consolidate his listenership and also make station the most listened-to in Kumasi.

Before moving to Accra, Kwame Adinkra enjoyed an unmatched popularity in the Ashanti Region as the most listened-to morning radio host on Angel FM. For years, he became Kumasi’s biggest name in radio and helped built a following that propelled him to the top of morning radio in the northern sector.

Abusua FM reintroduces Kwame Adinkra to a territory he knows all too well, and also offers the EIB Network-owned station a good head start.
