Toddler Missing

Sherifa

The police at Nungua in Accra, in collaboration with Ledzekuku NADMO officials and the family of one Imam Mustapha Ibrahim, have begun an intensive search for a 16-month-old toddler, Sherifa Nayi, who went missing on Monday afternoon at Teshie Tsuibleoo Aloway.

According to Mr Ibrahim, grandfather of the victim and the Nasara Imam for La Dadekotopon, she went missing around 2:30pm.

He said the mother of the girl – Sadia Mohammed – left the child to play with a six-year-old girl in front of their house when she went inside the house to pray.

After her prayers, he said Sadia Mohammed came out of the room and found out that her daughter was nowhere to be found.

Mr Ibrahim told DAILY GUIDE that when the six-year-old girl was asked about the whereabouts of the toddler, she told them that she also left her to urinate after the mother had entered the room to pray.

“The victim was wearing only a yellow pant with flowers and a black pair of slippers,” he added.

According to him, the child may be in the area; he therefore urged individuals to assist them to locate her.

Meanwhile, Mr. Christopher Laryea of Ledzekuku NADMO, who is also assisting in the search with their information van, has also urged individuals living in the area to help them find the girl.
