Trailer, Honda Vehicles Catch Fire

 

Two separate tragic incidents occurred in Accra, last night where a 40ft Trailer Truck and Honda Accord saloon car caught fire at Amasaman and Atomic respectively.

At Amasaman, a 40ft Truck that was loaded with fish from Tema Harbour to Burkina Faso caught fire at Sarpeiman, near Amasaman on the Accra-Kumasi main road.

It’s unclear as to what led to the cause of the fire. However, Firefighters from Amasaman and Adjen Kotoku had to quickly rushed to the scene to put the raging fire involving under control.

At the Haatso-Atomic Stretch, a dispatch rider was involved in an accident when a car collided with him.

According to reports, the impact caused the rider to fall and became trapped beneath a Honda Accord car, along with his motorcycle, where he was dragged for quite a distance.

As a result of that, the car caught fire, making it impossible to rescue him in time.

The Honda Accord driver and his family managed to escape to safety, but the dispatch rider lost his life in the accident.

The driver who hit the rider fled the scene, leaving the tragic situation unresolved.
