U/E Agenda 111 Projects On Course

The Upper East Regional Minister, Stephen Yakubu, has inspected some completed and ongoing projects by government across the Upper East Region.

Some of the projects inspected by the minister included the Infectious Disease Treatment Center being constructed at Zebilla in the Bawku West District.

The Regional Minister expressed content at the pace of work and called on the contractor to make sure he meets the work schedule.

Mr. Yakubu also inspected a completed dormitory at the Bolgatanga Senior High School, an ongoing CHPS compound in the Nabdam District, and a completed district assembly office building at Tempane.

At Garu, the minister inspected work on a district health facility under Agenda 111, while at Pusiga, he inspected a completed district health directorate project for the Ghana Health Service.

At Bolgatanga East District, the minister inspected work on a 10-kilometre road connecting Gambigo and other communities to the Bolgatanga-Bawku-Polmakum Highway.

Mr. Yakubu assured contractors working on the projects of government’s commitment to complete the projects.

“Some people do not believe that government’s Agenda 111 Policy is being implemented. These hospitals are coming at a good time to help the region, especially districts that do not have district hospitals,” Mr. Yakubu said.
