The University of Education Winneba (UEW) has pledged its commitment to ensuring that BlueCrest College, which operates as its affiliate institution, receives the needed support in its pursuit for accreditation standards for various disciplines that reflect excellence.
Speaking at the 25th Convocation of BlueCrest College, Prof. (Mrs.) Rebecca Atchoi Akpanglo-Nartey of UEW stated, “UEW stands ready to continue with your institution for curriculum development, academic collaboration, professional development for faculty and their ongoing pursuit for accreditation standards that reflect excellence. Together, we are not just building a school, we are building a knowledge ecosystem that will serve Ghana for generations.”
Speaking on the theme, “Empowering Skilled Graduates for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and National Development,” Chairman of BlueCrest College, Dev Varyani, indicated that Ghana’s future will not be built by job seekers alone, but by job creators, urging the graduates not to wait for opportunities but create them with the knowledge acquired from the institution.
“Whether it is using technology to support farmers, building fashion brands that compete globally, launching startups, or shaping society through responsible media, your skills are tools for transformation. Stay resilient, keep learning, build networks, and never compromise your integrity. To our parents and guardians, we thank you. Your sacrifices have brought these young men and women to this moment,” he said.
Guest Speaker, Anis Haffar, on his part, also reaffirmed the need for the graduates to create opportunities for themselves rather than rely on others to make a living. He further encouraged them to make use of technology and other tools at their disposal to make a change.
