UMB Supports McDan Tennis

Universal Merchant Bank (UMB), one of the fastest growing financial institutions in the country, has rallied support for this year’s McDan Open Tennis Championship, which starts from today to Saturday.

Last Friday, the bank donated an undisclosed amount of money to the organizers of the tournament at its Airport head office in Accra.

Director of Marketing and Communication, UMB Yvonne Botchey, said at the press briefing that her outfit’s core value of speed, which has a link with tennis, motivated them to come on board.

Jeffrey Odame Yeboah, Head of Personal Banking, pointed out that the move was aimed at supporting the headline sponsor- the McDan Group- in its quest to raise talents to compete at the highest level.

Tournament organizer Nathaniel Attoh, who represented Dr Daniel Makorley and Ghana Tennis Federation, thanked the bank profusely for the financial support.

Meanwhile, all is set for the commencement of the competition, which is also being supported by GNPC, Ghana Cocoa Board (Cocobod), AFWEST Security and Rush Energy Drink.
